Just a little love

Welcome to the last day of Novembers moodboard and all it's shimmer that it has to offer. I have used a photo that I altered a while ago and thought it would work perfectly with the rose gold of the moodboard, especially when using the Metallique acrylic paint from Prima.

On a piece of white cardstock I brayered some  Finnabair Art Alchemy Metallique Soft Satin paint. I then used Dylusions 12" Leaf stencil and a damp cloth and rubbed off some of the paint.

After deciding on placement of the photo I glued down some Pink Fresh tags and layered some Heidi Swapp ribbon over that. I then went to the sewing machine and sewed the ribbon down and continued to add a square to the centre of the page and a border around the whole page.

After adding the photo I used Heidi Swapp stamps to add the words "counting blessings" and I also added a Crate Paper Sunny Days charm.

A few other embellishments were added to complete the page - Prima script stamping, Heidi Swapp clear embellishments, Thickers - Dear Lizzy Fantastic white font, AC Summertime - love and leaf, Kinder Kreations wood hearts.

I hope you are having an awesome crafty day today and would love to see your take on the moodboard over in our Facebook page album

Until next time - have a great weekend & happy creating

Celebrate everyday

Hi everyone
Today I decided to use acrylic inks that I have had in my stash for a while and never used.
I must say they are really fluid and did get away from me a bit.   Will be better prepared next time!

I started by sponging some white gesso through a stencil and then covered the page with clear gesso as a base for the inks.   I used the plastic bag technique which I think was a bit of a mistake as I managed to get ink just about every where but where I wanted it!

I used a 49 & Market stamp and the edge of my spatula for the black ink.

Happy creating
cheers

Cheeky Monkey

Morning Peeps,

I had a play on the weekend with some new release KinderKreations.
I started with a sheet of beautiful paper arts pattern paper.
I took the geomesh stencil and some light and fluffy and added texture to the background.

I found some co-ordinating papers in my 6x6 stash (great for photo mats)

I painted the chipboard circles with metallique paint deep waters.
The cheeky monkey title I painted in royal red.
I inked the edges of the papers with Distress ink black soot.

Thanks for looking

The Music

Welcome to another fabulous weekend of creative energy. It has been a long time since I have used Kraft as my base cardstock and I had a lot of fun creating this one of my son playing the double bass.

There were a lot of layers on this layout. I rolled white paint with a brayer onto the cardstock. I have then used a script stencil and grey ink on to that and finally dropped some Brusho orange watercolour  onto my messy mat and pressed the page on to that.

I have then added some Tim Holtz tissue paper down the left side and layered some Viva las Vegas font stamps randomly on that to tie the edge to the page. Under the photo I have layered some book pages, off cuts of paper to suit my photo and more tissue paper, sinamay and some white muslin. I have used foam tape to adhere the photo so that it was raised above all the layers.

I added a large amount of metal cogs from the ideaology range to this layout as well as amber coloured bling and Tim Holtz washi. Finnabair glass glitter was also added near the cogs to help balance out the line working up the page.

Distress Oxides were used to achieve the darkened edge on the layout and bring warmth to the whole page. Tim Holtz stickers were also used to help add to the feel and memories created by the page before adding a stitched black border.

Have a great weekend of creating. Don't forget the moodboard only has a week to go and we would love to see your take on this prompt of beautiful warm tones -- and once you have uploaded your creation to our Facebook page album, you will go in the draw for a chance to win a store voucher.

Until next week - have a fabbo weekend

"Live Simply..."

It's Friday Y'all!!
And I am back to share another page in my 6x6 Dina Wakley Art Journal .
Once again using Dina Wakley paint for the background in Cheddar, Ruby, Sky, Marine, Night and white.

"Live Simply..."

To create the background I once again used the same technique as the last project, paint...Flick water....dry...wipe away. I have become obsessed! I just adore the random nature of it. I started with a layer of Cheddar, then a Ruby layer and finally a layer with Night and Sky.

To bring the background together I used White paint over the whole page and wiped it through a
Dina Wakley Stencil (Large Medieval Crosses) to reveal the gorgeousness of the previous layers.

Now for the focal point image....I used a Deli Paper silhouette out of
Dina Wakleys Media Collage Paper, Vintage & Sketches . I tore around the figure then attached it to the page with Gel Matt Medium.

I then used Posca Pens to add my own scribbles and marks, not only on the figure but  randomly on the page.

I then used Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers as a title and my page was done!

Materials Used:

Dina Wakley paint :Cheddar, Ruby, Sky, Marine, Night and white.

Thanks for joining me today see you all next time!

Art Journalling - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!

It's Karyn here, and today I have an art journal page to share with you made using various products available in the Scrapping Clearly Store

In my Small Dylusions journal I created a background using Prima Watercolor Confections.

Next I added some stamping around the edges of my pages using Lavinia Stamps - dandelions. I also added other background stamping to the pages, and torn strips of washi.

I painted DWM acrylic paints in coordinating colours across a loose page and then stamped with some floral stamps and fussy cut - these are great features for my page.

I used a roller word stamp to stamp words around the clusters on my pages.

I also added some Tim Holtz Small Talk stickers - a must for all my art journalling!
Lastly I added some journalling around the edge of my pages.

Thanks so much for stopping by
