Getting my fill of the Moodboard

I can't get enough of the Moodboard colours this month & It's a great palette to work with. By adding little bright pops of colour in the washi tape it just lifts the palette. There are always plenty of fun times at my house, especially with my kids and my nieces and nephews... it a shame they are all growing up so fast... I will miss these moments.

I started this layout with a fabulous base of Pink Paislee Fancy Free collection cardstock and added an overlay I created with the Silhouette. I then used some Stampers Anonymous heart stamps with Ranger Ink in dandelion... they were stamped where I worked out I would have my photo.  I cut a Hambly Screen Print in Honeycomb and added to the layers. After placing them all down with a touch of tape I took to the sewing machine and stitched a double border around the outside edge. I also find that the sewing machine is a great way to adhere acetate... so the honeycomb print was added this way.

Time to add the layers behind the photo. With all the new things I just purchased from the sale, I think I am in love with the Dina Wakley washi tape the most. It just added the right amount of pop behind the photo and to the layout. I have also layered some Heidi Swapp journalling spots, Heidi Swapp Emerson Lane ephemera, Dusty Attic chipboard Bubbles - inked with Ranger Dandelion.

It was then time to bring out the Vicki Boutin watercolour crayons as my journalling was getting lost under the photo. After adding the colour to the bottom I balanced it out with a little of the same colour on the top. I used the Pinkfresh Alpha for the title... these are seriously one of my fave alphas at the moment... they add so much dimension and the white and black just hit the mark for me when finishing off a layouts title.

I added foam tape to the photo to help lift it off the page and the corners were slightly bent up to help add dimension. I added Heidi Swapp Washi tape around the outer edge of the whole layout. I wanted to add black stitching originally but felt that would be too stark for the layout so I opted for the white and black dot - which I feel works nicely.

I  hope you have a fabulous weekend.... don't forget there are a lot of amazing classes coming to Scrapping Clearly over the coming months... letting out a little squeal with the Birgit Koopsen arrival... I wish I lived closer so that I could just rock up.  Spots are going fast so don't delay if you are thinking you want to go - make it happen - it will be worth your while.

Enjoy your creative & messy weekend
