Hello to all our crafty Scrapping Clearly readers.
I feel like its been ages since I shared a project here.
I received a lovely box of Scrapping Clearly products last week and having new goodies to scrap with certainly was a boost to my lagging wintery Mojo.
I managed to put together this page in just over an hour which for me is very quick!
Sometimes it can take several hours!
Not sure if its because I haven't created in a while or the new products I had to scrap with, I wonder?
What's the average length of time it takes to create a page for you?
I'd love to know.
The navy blue in the Urban Market collection by Teresa Collins appealed to me so I printed off a few photos I thought would match and away I went.
I find navy blue isn't a super popular colour in the world of scrapping papers so when I come across it
I enjoy creating pages with it.
That Jack Kerouac quote jumped out at me from the Chipboard pack and I knew I wanted to use it so I added it to my three photos and the basic horizontal design of my page came together quickly.
Once I had my design in place I realised I probably wasn't going to used any of the papers from the 6x6 paper pad. However I needed something on the background and decided to add some splotches of Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Seafoam and Teal.
In my box of goodies from Scrapping Clearly I also received some Heidi Swapp Color Pop Window Frames. This lovely pop of yellow around one of my photos gave the page a great focal point.
I used more of the chipboard pieces to underline my photo's and also created a little banner along with some of the Urban Market Decorative Stickers.
Whoops, I forgot to take a picture of it, but I also added some of the Decorative Stickers and a chipboard shape at the bottom of my page to finish off my visual triangle of clusters.
Some typed journalling and messy cotton finished off my page and I was very happy with this quick little burst of creative time. Might try it again tomorrow!
Wish me luck.
Leave a comment and let me know your usual scrap-a-page time.
Thanks for stopping by today, happy crafting.
Cheers,
Leonie Neal-Dawson.
Love this layout Leonie. The pop of yellow is just gorgeous and so summery. My answer to how long - too long at the moment. Mojo is missing.
