Family Time - A Scrapbook layout with Lisa J

Good morning Scrapping Clearly fans,

Lisa here today to share a layout created with the Heidi Swapp September Skies 6x6 paper pad.

I have seen a few of these layouts around on the internet lately with multiple patterns as the border of a layout and I knew it would be perfect for using a 6x6 paper pad.

I created my border then stitched on a piece of white cardstock. The main paper layers of my layout were also created with the same paper pad. I punched some hearts from scraps, added some enamel dots, a title with Heidi Swapp letter stickers and some phrase stickers.

A quick and colourful layout today.

Happy Scrapping

Good Morning, good morning! Almost the end of July, can anyone tell me how that has happened?! I am popping today to share a page that I created using the fun and versatile Simple Stories Life in Colour collection. Simple Stories are great with their papers as they provide a mix of full patterned papers as well as sheets of 4x6, 3x4 and 4x4 sized cut a-parts for using in general scrapbooking or project life style scrapping. The page that I am sharing today is a standard 12x12 scrapping page, and I show how you can still use all those project life style pieces in a regular page.

So most of page utilises the full sheets of patterned paper for matting the photos and layering. I have used these papers: Coral water colour /Light Blue water colour, So Much Happiness, Happy Little Moments and Big Memories. Then I used some of the cut apart sheets and actually cut out shapes and icons to use for some of my embellishments. So the camera, the speech bubble and painted word circle and the documented tab all came from these sheets: 3x4 Journaling Card Elements and 4x4 and 4x6 Vertical Elements. I also did some stencil work on the background using my favourite ink, Distress Oxide in Fossilized Amber and I wanted to carry through the plus sign in one of the patterned papers so I used an old Kaiser Craft stencil from my stash which is small plus signs. This is subtle but helps break up the starkness of the white and carries through the pattern and colour.

The Documented tab came from the bottom of another element on a 4x3 card, and the wood paper elements that are included in the layering behind my photos are scraps from cutting out the camera. It is a good lesson that not everything needs to be used in the obvious way that it might be intended!

I have also used lots of phrase stickers from the Expressions Cardstock Stickers sheet. This is awesome because it also has four different alphabet sets of different sizes and colours that you can use!

To finish off the page I cut and layered some strips of the solid papers and placed them right at the bottom of the page. I cut some labels from the 3x4 Journaling Card Elements paper, these were great to form a base for my title. Then, because you know me, I like simple and quick, I used a wood veneer word from Heidi Swapp for my title.  And to finish off I wanted a little bit of splattering in a darker colour so I mixed Salty Ocean and Lucky Clover Distress Oxides with a little water and made a bluey-green colour to splatter with, and hey presto my page was finished!

Thanks for stopping by, see you next time!

Yeah Boy - Cocoa Vanilla Studio Boys Rule

Hello and welcome, Leonie with you today sharing a cool boy page using the popular Boys Rule collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studios.
I've scrapped a sneaky photo taken of my teen lying on the beach on a sunny winters day.
Before I get to that though a reminder that theres still a couple of days to go if you want to join us in our July moodboard competition. You can add your entry to the album in our Facebook group

On the white cardstock background I began by spreading some Dina Wakley Paints around then layering two stencils again using the same paints. I also added some markings and splats.
When I was happy with the background I layered papers from the Boys Rule collection under my photo.

I used several printed tabs (from the accessory sticker sheet) and labels from the collection aswell tucked under the various layers of patterned paper.  I have some hidden journalling on two shipping tags that I coloured with Walnut Stain Distress ink and these are also tucked behind the layers of paper.

I love how this little cluster, below, came together using another label from the cut-apart paper, accessory stickers, clear stickers and diecuts.
I finished it off with some wood veneer from my stash.

A close up here of one of the flair buttons from the Boys Rule collection.

Thanks for stopping by the scrapping clearly blog today,
 happy crafting.

Art Journalling with Jane Davenport Products

Today I am going to show you some of my pages using the Jane Davenport Paper pad and some of her other products.

I am not a confident art journaller but using this paper pad makes arting a whole lot easier.

Her beautiful ladies give you a focal point and she sits lovely on a layered background of stamps, templates and paint.

There are two of every design so with this one I cut the page around her face to show a little of the next one and put the same face aligned.

With this next one I was playing around with collage. I use her napkins glued on with matt gel medium and some rub ons, some stamps and texture paste.

This last page is using one of the images from the paper pad again with Paint, stamps, templates and words cut out of a magazine.

I hope if you are thinking of having a play in your art journal you will consider trying some of the Davenport products to make your arty day a little easier and inspired.

Fancy - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies,

It's Karyn here,

Today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using distress oxides and Heidi Swapp products all available in the Scrapping Clearly Store.

I created my background by using distress oxides (Picked Raspberry, Mermaid lagoon, Wilted Violet) and the painting with plastic technique on a sheet of white cardstock .

I've added some yellow Simple Stories enamel dots to make the page pop!

The glitter "fancy" veneer is a Heidi Swapp wood word.
