Morning Face - 30 minute warm up

Salutations Bloggers , Lisa here with a Friday mixed media update.
Sharing another one of my warm up techniques with you today.
I always need to start a creative day with a warm up play,
something quick and again, NOT to create perfect(cause I don't make perfect),
But to get the flow and confidence to create with freedom and enjoy the process.
I start with a coating of gesso 1st , a smear or 2 of  some Dina Wakley and Liquitex acrylic paint.
Then a quick rough face sketch with a Black Stabilo water active pencil.
I then added a light coat of Liquitex Gesso
Now its about layering ,using more Acrylic paints ,
I have added some Dylusions acrylics as well.
Remembering this is a warm up and is created swiftly , so no time for perfection
Just more layers of paint and back into the piece with my Stabilo pencil.
I'm not really one for doing the natural face colour thing ,
you know brown and me ain't the best of friends.
A few more layers, more highlight ,more shadowing
I am definitely no expert at this , but who wrote the rules of  creative freedom.
for me its all about fun and flow, not perfection.
" Always do your best , you can put your heart and soul into it ."
Even with a quick 30 minute warm up session.

Thanks for dropping by , I'll be back next Friday.
