Be Epic- Celebrating One Strong Young Woman

Howdy Folks , Lisa here with a weekly mixed media blog update .
And lookie here,I have actually scrapbooked a layout to share .
Celebrating this amazing young woman,
in the week of International Day of Woman ,
I'm going to share with you a layout created to celebrate my eldest child,
A woman heading in the direction of her dreams.
Someone who inspires me daily with her drive and
willpower to focus and take control of her life .
I grabbed some marshmallow bazzil cardstock and with a few pieces of chipboard , I adhered them to the cardstock with some xpress it glue , then allowed it to dry securely.
Then , using Liquitex gesso and a tiny amount of  Dina Wakley Sky Blue acrylic paint ,
I painted the page fully and then highlighted around the page with Prima Acrylic...
Finns'Art Alchemy Aqua Magic Blue Gold. which I have to say is a new fav for sure ,
I really need to get some more colours to play with ..omg..love those duel colours.
Then , its all about the layering , some staz on ink background stamping (having a re-love affair with butterflies),novel paper, washi tape, tissue paper, die cut circles ,a little doodling with a fude ball pen and some highlighting of the chipboard with a black stabilo pencil and waterbrush.. finishing with a few me and my big ideas chipboard pieces .
I finished this piece by matting my photo with black cardstock
and adding a few pre-made cardstock butterflies,a border around the page with the fude ball , strip journaling to boost the title and a little extra motherly heart words.
which sit behind the photo and flip to be revealed .
Thanks for dropping by , see you next week..
I'm lucky enough to being treated to a special weekend and
off to view some galleries and museums
