Howdy Folks, Lisa Here with a Friday Mixed Media Blog Update.
Today I am going to share a quick Easy Layout that can be used in a few different ways .
The layout above is a piece that I created and recently taught at a Retreat in Uralla.
When I teach, I find, its always great to share the process physically so the punters can grasp a complete understanding of the technique I am sharing.
Inevitably I usually am left with a few demo pieces and
if I don't give them away I will pump out a few new quick layouts.
This is one of those pieces.
I started with white cardstock and and 2 types of Colourblast coloured paste in Deep Water and Envy, and used a stencil to transfer the paste circles .
To create the light blue circles I wiped the stencil onto the page with a wet one and cleaned the stencil while transferring the excess paste to the page.
(making the most the product and not cleaning up with water)Drying time and Then stamping .
My layering consisted of some left over flower bouquet grass offcut-like a this raffia) some blue tissue paper to pick up the blue in the photo and some AWESOME HAMBLY transparency
I've used some Heidi Swapp and Me and My Big Ideas stickers
And to make things easy and quick I attached one of my photos with staples
So here is the finished piece, same back ground as the above layout ,just tweaked a little differently.
Have you created pieces this way ?
Ever want to recreate a piece that you love, but tweak it ?
I give you permission to give it a whirl .
