Hello everyone! I'm here to share my acrylic album with you today. Now, I am not a mini album type of gal - sure, I've done a few in my time, but it's not my go to project. In saying that, this would have to be the EASIEST album I have ever created!! I LOVE the clear acrylic - and the Hambly we received was perfect for the pages.
So, here is the front:
I decided to document our beach holiday last year - and add some photos that I haven't scrapped ..
I have used the Simple Stories Summer Vibes range which is PERFECT for this ...
I actually love that the pages are see through ... a bit quirky!
As you can see, I've kept every page very simple ...
A journal card, a frame and some stickers is sometimes all you need!
I also didn't want to add too much extra bulk ...
and the perfect journal card for the back cover:
and there you go - a quick, easy and fun mini album!!

Counting Sheep Acrylic Mini Album
Hi All, Peg here.
So.... I was challenged to step outside my 12 x 12 box this month and create a mini album, not just any mini, a clear one! Not my thing at all, it sat on my desk for quite some time until I had the wherewithal to tackle it. I put many hours of thought into how I would go about it until it occurred to me that I should treat it like a photoshop file and work in layers starting from the back. That way I could easily see what the next layer would add to the stack.
So I began by sticking all the pages to a Hambly overlay (the printed side) using binder medium which was the glue I had to hand. I left it for a couple of days with books on top but it made no difference, the acetate of the overlay didn't stick. Happily though, when I peeled it off some of the Hambly print stuck to my album pages, especially around the edges.
This was a great kicking off point. I chose a different Stazon ink colour for each page with the light colours first and the dark colours at the back of the album and stamped some swirls and rubbed the ink around the edges of the pages.
The story is about a particular very late night at retreat with some fantastic and mischievous friends. We laughed and laughed, even after going to bed.
My cover title and embellishments are Simple Stories 'Heart' cardstock stickers and some very old Queen & Co plastic flowers from my stash. Journalling done with a Motex labeller and Dymo tape. I used a little bit of Cocoa Vanilla patterned paper and some black cardstock for matting.
I did it! I scrapped a clear album and I like it. I especially love that this one stands up so I can put it on display!
Maybe I'll do it again some time too since there are so many other cool album designs in the Scrapping Clearly shop.
Thanks for coming by
Intuitive Painting = Arty Fun
Howdy Bloggers, Lisa Here with a Mixed Media Friday Update.
This time last week I was retreating at a beautiful lake front venue
with a magical Queenslander style verandah which ,we used to create arty inspiration upon.
Whilst there I had the pleasure to play and create alongside some super dooper creative souls, share their table space and be inspired by their creative knowledge and their pieces of arty goodness.
Sharing the table with Kim Price,Peg Hewitt,Maxine Allen and Jen Hall makes for an amazingly inspiring environment, and what better to play together and share the creative process with each other , by all painting/drawing/creating with prompts thrown around the table, primarily by Kim,but in the end everyone was prompting.Whats better,is the fact that we would do a few elements
and then pass it on to the next person.. no falling in love with it,
just listening to the prompt and add elements and lost of different mixed media.
Soooooo much fun, and look at this cool piece below that started and finished with me.It went around the table twice and I freaking love the end result(yeah i know -it doesn't matter about the end result , just the process. but hey , this piece is cooooooool;!!!!)
Pumped and Inspired by the process used I took time to play yesterday and create using the same similar technique. Plus I had a willing arty buddy to swap and create with.
I started with a double page within my journal that already had a few swirly colour blasted stencil marks and a splash of Dylusions Acrylic colour.
I then just added different visual elements ,like circles, lines, dots, words, scribbles etc,
using paint, pastels,crayons, pencils,paint pens,house paint,paper scraps
with fingers, sticks, folks, skewers and these rad paint brushes.
Every few elements I swapped with my arty buddy and added more details.
The mantra for this process is a "Don't think, Just Do"
There are no rules *except when you start to make mud stop and find another space to work on.
Its always good to have your heat tool with you to avoid mixing mud. :)
Adding white and black to you page will create amazing contrast and drama.
Adding a few more elements here with a little Dina Wakley Paint and Liquidtex and Posca Pens
One could work the piece in so many different ways ,
its all about layering and having fun with your products ..
---------------------------------------------------
Here is my table buddies piece,Paul has a Dylusions album and
sometimes he struggles for ideas to starts.
This was a great exercise to help him loosen up and go with the flow
(being a draftman and creating with set ideas, measurements
and details, this is sometimes hard for him to let go ,with random creativity)
If you would like to extend your knowledge on Intuitive painting ,
Such a cool book to have in your inspiration library.
This excerpt from her amazing book Brave Intuitive Painting ,
will help prompt your creative flow. So definitely give it a go .
I hope you are inspired to create and play with these ideas .
I'd love to see where your Mojo takes you .
Big Thanks for dropping by , See you next week. :)

"This Special Moment" by Melinda
Hi! It's my turn to share with you what I came up with using the April moodboard. And just as a refresher, here it is again :)
I have to be honest here and say that I did struggle a little with the board as it is so purple heavy and if you know me, you know I am not a purple fan! However, once I got over my initial trepidation and all that purple I took a closer look and saw that gorgeous gold, the blues and aquas and funnily enough the "tea" in the tea cup reminded me of a sunset. I have a stack of photographs from our wedding (April 2008) which include sunset photos on the beach. I pulled out my photos and narrowed my selection down to 2 of my very faves as they worked best with the collection I had on hand to work with which is the Time Machine by Kaisercraft.
Here is my completed page and after much umming and ahhing and "I'm not really sure-ing", as this is not a collection I would grab for myself, I am really, really pleased with how this page turned out! I enjoyed the challenge of working with something outside of my norm with both the collection and the moodboard.
The photo's were looking a bit flat on the page without the mixed media so taking inspiration again from the moodboard and the photos I pulled out my navy colour shine after I applied a very light coat of gesso in the background and using the handy packaging technique I applied some colour to my background behind all the papers and acetate layers (I just love that pop of gold on the acetate in the background!). I then used the awesome stamp set from the same collection to add a little bit of interest using the Heidi Swapp navy stamp pad. Just as a side note, I noticed that the paper didn't stand up too well to the wet mediums so I did have to mount this completed page on another 12x12 paper.
Once my big layers were down and the photos on top I started embellishing. I used the Time Machine collectables pack and a border sticker from the 12x12 sticker sheet in the collection pack.
To finish the page off and bring it all together I grabbed my hot pink colour shine to make some sprinkles in the embellishment clusters.
Like I said earlier, this is totally different for me but I am so pleased with how it turned out so if you are thinking "Ah, I really dont like purple" take another look at that mood board and see what else you can see, you may find yourself with an awesome $20 gift certificate to the store for your efforts!
Thats it for me for today, happy scrapping and I'll be back shortly with another project using this range!

Brilliant Life layout with Tania!!!
Hi everyone, hope you had a relaxing Anzac Day and a spared a thought for those who served for our Country!
Today I'm sharing a layout made with the Heidi Swapp, 'HELLO GORGEOUS' paper range. I absolutely love these 12x12" paper pads, they are so versatile. There are so many different colour options and patterns, you can create many projects to suit your style!
I used 7 different papers, (they are double sided too!!) You can see some of the layers below in this photo. I also used the tear off piece on one of the pages to match my fussy cut flower cluster.Yes, I actually fussy cut this flower piece from the black and white dots piece to place it on a lighter background.
In my cute little flower cluster, there's a gorgeous Prima flower and some leaves, which you can find here:
(Don't be afraid to alter your embellishments. The one leaf I had left in the packet was too large for my project, so I cut it in half and re-shaped it, dabbed a bit of ink on the edges and then I had 2!!!)
My title is a mix of Heidi Swapp word stickers, which I adore! So simple, they finish off the page beautifully. I loooove these gold 'Wanderlust' glitter stickers.
I want to mention the photograph, it's less than perfect I know, but it was taken with a mobile phone camera, and it is all I have of this occasion. I love the sun flare in between my Husband and I. I could've easily pushed this pic aside and scrapped another, but at the end of the day, I wanted to record this memory, and truth be known, I haven't scrapped nearly enough photos of just the two of us. Something to think about!!!
Thanks for reading along, see you next time,

Sweet Charm layout by Bernii Miller using the My Mind's Eye On Trend 2 collection.
Hello there Scraping Clearly fans and welcome to a Monday, Bernii here with you :)
It is my turn to share with you today a layout I have made with the gorgeous My Mind's Eye On Trend 2 collection... if you have not seen this collection you HAVE too!! this collection is so so pretty.. All the gold accents and flowers have me swooning..
Well this week I thought I would try something different for me and finalllyyyyy try the chalkboard paint in the background .. I know I know I am a little behind on the trend , but usually I scrap with just a white background, so this is quiet a stark contrast for me. I love how it turned out though.. so let's take a peek..

I used the On Trend 2 mixed bag mainly with sprinkles off the AMAZING On Trend 2 Acrylic words.. which are so fun!! they are surprisingly sturdy too and for a little extra stick I adhered them down with some extra glossy accents..
I also sprinkled around some decorative brads.. which are so so cute!!! The pack comes with brads and also tags..you can see on of those tags in the picture below, to the left.. LOVE THEM..
Then for the white journalling I used the White Posca pen, which I guarantee you will write on about any surface smoothly.. I switched over a while ago as I was finding that my other white gel pens where running out mid writing .. but these Posca pens are amazing..
TRUST ME you NEED one..
Check them all out HERE
Well thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope I have given you some inspiration..
If you love this collection as much as I do you can check it out HERE.
Till next time..

100 Day Project
Howdy Folks , Lisa here with a quick Scrapping Clearly Friday update.
I'm always trying to motivate myself to create everyday.
Usually I'm great for 4 days of the week,
but work commitments take over and I sorta-kinda get distracted.
But I really want to create more and a challenge is always great motivation.
I have this black paged journal which I picked up at an op shop
(its actually a photo album, but Iam re-purposing it )
Today I'm sharing the quick Title page I have created .
I started with some Envy Colour Blast Paste
Then i hit it with 3 lots of Colour Blast Embossing Powder
and "Deep Water"
I then fixed it with a heat too
Completed a little journaling about my commitment to the challenge.
Then dressed the page with a little Birdie and a Title I made with some scraps.
Making it quick and simple, Leaving more time to create.
well that's the theory anyway. :)
See you next week with more mixed media arty goodness

A couple of cards with Melinda
Hello there Scrappingclearly fans! I'm here today sharing a couple of cards I put together using the ever so fun Simple Stories "Life In Color" range (again!). I have said it every post but I really, really love this collection and sadly, it is running low but I plan to use every single piece!
When I first opened my box of goodies I was hit with the idea of PL pages and cards! It took me a little while to be comfortable to use up some of those papers on cards (we all have that same hesitant feeling when it comes to cutting into a brand new 12x12 sheet, yeah?!) but I did it and am super happy with the results!
Card #1
For this card I decided to go a bit feminine! I love, love, love that pink paper I have used on the card base and those butterflies are just adorable! The pink paper is from the collection pack and the butterflies are from the bits and pieces pack. That flair (isn't it just gorgeous!) is from the MME On Trend 2 collection.
I did do a little mixed media in the background, it was looking very plain! I added a light coat of gesso and then used some gelatos and the very technical packaging technique. Once that was all dried I went back in with some Heidi Swapp colour shine in butter (love this colour!) and then adhered all my pieces. I thought the card needed just a tiny bit of something else and pulled out the sequins from Cocoa Vanilla Studio in the "Made of Awesome" range - that blue matched perfectly!
And here is a little close up :)
For my sentiment I just went with one of those gorgeous clear stickers and kept it pretty versatile :)
Card #2 - and just secretly, this is my fave ;)
I love how this card came out! I started with the pieces from the bits and pieces pack - so the tags, the globe and that hello. I thought it needed something more so pulled out the 12x12 sheet that has all the polaroid designs printed on it and cut that out to add to my layers and also added a plain old paper clip where there was one printed. I used my craft knife to cut around the edge of the heart and do some tucking of the layers.
I found my piece for the background (that gorgeous yellow and white stripe), layered my cluster on top and thought "it needs something!" So, out came the washi strips, the clear stickers and the sentiment strip stickers (from the 12x12 sticker sheet in the collection pack). And, of course the stapler!
Once I had my washi down, I again decided it needed a little more so pulled out the trusty gesso, a red gelato and some water. I also knew I wanted to add a few more small pops of silver so out came the silver thread in the sewing machine!
One final touch! Since they were on my desk already, I first reached for the sequins and that yellow was PERFECT! I scattered a few and called it done!
Here are a couple of close ups!
Again, I am totally loving this collection and thinking I need to make some more cards with the bits and pieces I have left!
I hope this has inspired you to maybe use your traditional supplies in a little bit of a different way! Happy scrapping!

Love You Granny - With Karyn!
Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!
It's Karyn here today and I have a scrapbook page to share made using lots of goodies from Scrapping Clearly.
The photo is of my girls with their Granny - we love you Granny!
I've used papers from the Heidi Swapp "Hello Gorgeous" collection. I started with a sheet of darker patterned paper - it really works for this page and makes the colours in the photo pop! I fussy cut some of the roses and leaves from the patterned paper sheet - this is a great way to create your own embellishments and use up patterned paper.
I added some of the Hambly Screen Prints rubons strategically across my page then accented with elements from the KaiserCraft collectibles pack and Coco Vanilla Studio wood veneer.
Always remember to document what happened using your own handwriting where possible!
Scrapping Clearly products I've used include
Heidi Swapp "hello gorgeous" 12x12 paper pad
Hambly Screen Prints rubons - antique frames
Cocoa Vanilla Studio "hello lovely" wood veneer
KaiserCraft #me collectables
Thanks so much for stopping by
