"Smile"- Clear Acrylic Album by Tania

Hi everyone, today I have some mini album inspiration for you in the shape of a butterfly!!! I've used a clear acrylic album, exclusive to Scrappingclearly, and you can find more shaped albums here:
These albums work so well, teamed up with a Hambly Screen Print Overlay, (I used 'HONEYCOMB') and some rub ons. (Rhonna Farrer for AUTUMN LEAVES).

On the cover, I've clustered some beautiful, Prima flowers, added some of the rub ons, and my title is from a Heidi Swapp word sticker pack.

For added dimension, I have put the little bird rub ons, onto a transparency sheet first and then cut them out & mounted with foam dots.
This month I am working with the pretty, Heidi Swapp 'Hello Gorgeous' range of papers. I have used them to mat my photographs, and for all of  my little embellishments. (I used my die cutting machine to cut out a heap of banners, tags, hearts and arrows.)
The alpha stickers are from Prima!
These albums are great, and need minimal embellishments, because you can see all of the layers of the overlay and rub ons through each page!

To finish the album off, I used some paint around the edge of each page to highlight the shape of the butterfly, and tied some seam binding around the hinged rings. I am very happy with the result!
I hope I have inspired you to give the clear albums a go. I think I will be making a few more as presents in the future!!!
See you next time!!! Tania

Heidi Swapp Lightbox fun..

Hi Lauren here...

Well Heidi Swapp has done it again. All of her lighting range is amazing but I have to say 'her lightbox takes the cake'.

This is no ordinary lightbox with just one font to use and only operates on AC cord..
The Heidi Swapp light box has different fonts and colours, it has small letters and large, it has shapes and icons and another cool feature is to power it you can use batteries or... get this USB cable.
Yes you heard it. You can plug this baby into your phone charger.. ha #loveit!!

This has become a lovely interactive feature in my home.
The kids love playing with it and making their own signs. My 16yr old even put his dinner order in on it one night.. #cheeky.

Our story By Lisa Oxley

Morning Bloggers ,Lisa Here with a quick blog update .
Ahhhhh Unfortunately...... I got nothing New.
I've been busy this week ,trying to pull together a few pieces for a little "Exhibition" at my friends funky arty cafe next month, and I'm off to retreat next week for 4 days,So I haven't really had time to create something new. But I did find this layout I had made and hadn't shared.
So lets run with this one.
I started this layout with a little smear of Dylusions paint in Bubblegum Pink and Orange then
using one of my favorite stencils from my stash, I placed it off centre and to introduce some white space and to visually work with the rule of 3 design principles.
Through the stencil I used Colour Blast Textured Paste in "Bling" and "Tangareen Dream".
After drying I added some script stamping and drippy house paint(have I inspired you use some yet ?)
more drying time , I journalled within the mandala , added a little southern sky paper torn from my large old atlas , muslin, a Heidi Swapp Frame, and some Me and My Big Ideas Chippy Pieces (which I personally think is the best value product in scrapping.)
I printed a photo from using an rad little instax printer that prints Polaroid sized photos.
I love it because I can take photos on my phone, edit them, again on my phone and then bluetooth it straight to the printer and it prints instantly for me .
Thanks for Dropping by and if you have time, leaving some love . Have an awesome day and an super creative week ahead. See you next Friday :)

A Boys Story is the Best that is Ever Told - Kim

Today  I am sharing with on the blog an awesome mini album made with one of Scrappingclearly's acrylic albums. I have used the train and it has worked just perfectly for the photos of my nephew.

These albums are fabulous for using lots of photo's as you will see from mine. I just love how well the Prima metal cogs have worked as wheels

I have also used Hambly overlays and rubon's through out the album, I have also used one of the album pages to cut the shape if my Hambly and papers.

I just love how the acrylic and hambly lets you see through the album and by cutting your papers to half the size you add another layer of dimension.

They are also an awesome way to use up any stickers you may have.

I have also cut my photos smaller and back to back them to add another layer.

And you can see from this page the Happy sticker is carrying through from the inside front cover and still working with this photo.

I just love how well the elements work like this cog.

And finally the back cover I have used a Hambly rubon as part of the back cover.

Thank you for looking and I hope I have inspired you.

Kim

Too Many Photos?

Hi All
Peg here again today playing with Cocoa Vanilla 'Made of Awesome' range.

Do you ever have that problem of too many photos to scrap, you only want to do one page, but you don't want to leave any out? It happens to me all the time.
My answer is to overlap, use grids, and make the pages super simple, just like these two.

I have only use patterned paper and embellishments for both of these pages.
No wet mediums!!!! Except for inked edges, I can't not have inked edges.

Materials - base paper, strips top and bottom, ephemera pack, pocket cards, alpha stickers. A little Dymo tape, a Kaisercraft rub-on, a black inpad, date stamp, and a black pen.

Materials - base paper, patterned paper blocks, pocket card, ephemera pack, flair, alpha stickers. A Kaisercraft rub-on, some black card for photo mats, black pen, date stamp, and a black inkpad.

Easy peasy and practically no mess. Together these pages took less than an hour and the stories are in the album, gotta love that!

Happy scrapping

SO FUN, A LOVELY DAY, A SILLY DAY

Hi everyone,
Marelle back again to share - this time I have gone back to my 6x12 layout.  Quite a few years ago I was getting bored with 12x12 size and scrapped about 6 albums in 6x12.  For this cute fun layout I decide not to use pattern paper, but to embellish with this amazing Freckled Fawn washi from the ScrappingClearly Shop- which also is my embellishment and my title!!

For my background I used Gelatos, and an old Prima (retired) stitched stamp - this is still one of my favourite stamps to use.  I used my fave trusty Pilot Pemaball Black pen and doodled around my photo and border.

Sometime I like to create a quick layout in between my never ending Mama duties!!

Until next time
Happy crafting
