Be A Rainbow - With Karyn Schultz!

 Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page that I created using lots of fun products available at Scrapping Clearly!

I started by creating my background on heavy weight white cardstock. I used Prima watercolour confections - Pastel Dreams to do this. I painted a large loose rainbow in 5 of the colours that coordinated with the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream collection.

Next I fussy cut all of the rainbows from one of the sheets of paper from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream collection 6x8 paper pack.

I matted my photo on papers from the CVS Daydream paper pack. I then embellished with the hand cut rainbows, word stickers, paper doilie and lots of enamel dots. Here are some close-ups of my finished page.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Fancy That by Tracey B

 Happy Tuesday everyone

Have you checked out the mood board this month?

I was inspired to create this layout.

I started with some TCW Light & Fluffy modelling paste through a Vicki Boutin stencil on some Teresa Collins Patterned paper.

I added some colour by sprinkling on some Lindy's powders and giving them a spritz with water.

I built up the layers on my background using some Dina Wakley paint mixed with 13@rts texture powder which turns any paint into a thick paste which I scraped through another stencil.

I used by palette knife to add some Bo Bunny gold Confetti paste and then some Deco Art crackle paste through another stencil.

I was thinking about my title and found a Heidi Swapp acetate word "Fancy".   This is the word in the pack I never thought I'd use (why is there always 1 like that?) but I started thinking about the photo I was planning on using and decided to change it for another one taken on the same day because really I'm not sure who was more surprised: Theo having a reindeer come up to him or the deer to see a knight in his forest.

I then matted my photo using a Cocoa Vanilla Color my Happy doily , some Teresa Collins Urban Market ephemera and a wood veneer Bambi from my stash which I lightly coloured with some distress inks in Bundled Sage and Tea Dye.  I finished off my title with some Studio Calico Seven Paper puffy alphas.

Products I used include

Teresa Collins Patterned paper

Light & Fluffy modelling paste

Vicki Boutin stencils

Heidi Swapp Lattice stencil

Dina Wakley acrylic paint (Elephant)

13@rts texture powder

Deco Art Crackle paste (White)

Bo Bunny Gold Confetti paste

Lindy's Stamp Gang Flat Shot powder (Summer Lovin" Fun)

Lindy's Stamp Gang Magical Shaker powders (Cowabunger Copper & California Poppy Gold)

Cocoa Vanilla Colour me happy doily

Teresa Collins Urban Market ephemera

Studio Calico Seven Pages puffy stickers

Heidi Swapp gold acetate word

Dylusions Ink Spray (White Linen)

Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Bundled Sage & Tea Dye)

Hope you get a chance to join us this month and  give this Christmassy challenge a crack!

Still plenty of time to get your craft on!

When you mojo is low, it's time to just play- Art Journal with Lisa Oxley

Howdy Bloggers, Lisa here with a Sunday Scrapping Clearly mixed media update ......
and yes yes, I've been awol.
Away on holidays, new creative commitments and the festive work season is upon us.
This combination has me somewhat creatively all over the shop.
For the time being I've stepped away from recording the majority of my work to just have some down time and enjoy the flow of creativity and play.
I can also be working on 3 journals on the table, and sometimes I'm just winging it.

Today I am sharing a few pieces from my downtime funk.
Props to Dina and her supplies for allowing for easy flow.

I like to keep it real, as far as journalling is concerned.

Thanks a bunch for dropping by the Scrapping Clearly blog today,

I'll be back before Christmas with a little creative festive cheer just for you ..xx

JOY by Tracey Thorne

Welcome to a new month and a fabulous new moodboard. This months inspiration has a range of lovely earthy tones & pics to gather ideas and spark off your creative flow.

I have used a base of white cardstock and to that I have layered three different inks - Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Peeled Paint, Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain in Antique Linen and Prima Art Philosophy in Warm Grey using the kiss technique whereby I applied the ink to a piece of plastic and kissed it to the page.

I've used Liquitex Modelling paste with a TCW 6inch Daisy chain stencil - once dried I outlined a few of the sections of the stencil with an ALLS pencil and a little water to help define the round shape. I added a little Dina Wakley cathedral windows from the Collage paper.  I have then added some Distress Texture paste to a Finnabair Gothic stencil in three places to help tie a few of the elements together.

Stamping was added at this point - I have used a couple of old stamps from my stash - Unity stamps and a swirl frame. I have also used a 13@rts birdcage stamp. I have used Archival black ink and Distress peeled paint ink.
A Scallop frame was painted with Prima Art Alchemy Metallique Red Wine paint . I worked out placement of my photo and used some Basic Grey paper and a few layers of stitching, muslin and washi tape. The scallop was placed under these elements to add a hint of red.

I coloured some 2Crafty Chipboard pieces with an Artline marker and glued these to the page in a triangular pattern for balance.

I went around the outer edge with a Fudeball and the ALLS pencil and added a little water.
I have added Glitter Thickers for part of the title and a silver key. I added a little of the BO Bunny glitter paste in Seafoam to add a little sparkle to the page to help finish it off. It is Christmas time and definitely the time to start using your Glitter paste.

Thanks for popping in & have a fabulous weekend.

Smile with Belinda Spencer

 Happy FriYAY Scrapping Clearly fans!

It's Belinda here today to share my latest layout featuring some awesome products from the Scrapping Clearly store. I have created a sweet layout showcasing the fabulous Old School collection by Heidi Swapp.

SMILE

Anyone feel like some neapolitan icecream when they look at this patterned paper?!! I do. LOL I used the 'icecream' paper as my background for this layout, mounted on some heavyweight marshmallow cardstock. I added a layer of stamping around the area that my photo and paper layers stack would be. I used Victorian Velvet Distress Ink for a subtle stamping effect as well as some Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamps.

Next I cropped the off-cut from the 12 x 12 background paper as well as the specialty paper from the range. I played around with the stack until I was happy with the arrangement and then stapled them all together in the centre. I like to staple it as it leaves the edges free for me to slide in a whole bunch of other stuff as I have done here. I added some of the die-cuts and tags slipping them in between the layers.

I added a wire circle using some old Prima wire that I have had in my stash for ages. It is discontinued sadly but I stocked up before it was unavailable. You could use twine here instead.

I decided my background didn't have enough ink on it so I pressed the ink pad onto an acrylic block, spritzed it with a little water, picked up the colour with a soft wet paintbrush and flicked it over the page.

I added my photo with a die-cut frame next.

I fussy cut some flowers from the patterned paper, slipped in some more die-cuts, stickers, photo corners and a Charm's Creations star. I stamped some leaves and a butterfly and added those too. Finally I added some enamel dots, a random paperclip I had on my desk and the title.

Here's what I used:
- Watercolour
- Slight Alterations

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope you are feeling inspired to grab your goodies from the Scrapping Clearly store and have a play this weekend.

Cheers
Belinda

I think I can by Tracey B

 Morning everyone

I don't know about you but I have my go-to style & products and just sometimes I feel my mojo is not playing the game.   That's when I look at all the wondrous stuff in my stash and pull out something I haven't used in ages.

For the purposes of this exercise, Dylusions  Ink Sprays got the nod.   I hardly ever use them and I'm not entirely sure why.   Instead of just spraying them on I decided to do something a little different.

I started with a pad of Prima water color paper and some random glasses and a bowl.   I pre-cut some masks out of scrap paper, placed my crockery onto the pad and then spritzed around it all with some water.

I then opened opened the bottles of ink and dipped in an aqua brush to pick up some colour and transfer to the page squeezing more water from the brush and spritzing again as needed.    I got some unintended bleed under the glasses but didn't worry about it.

Add just because that is the way of the world, I knocked over an open bottle of ink.   Luckily just onto my messy mat so I quickly grabbed a syringe from my stash (knew that would come in handy one day!), sucked up most of the spilled ink and squirted it back into the bottle.   I then splurted (that's a word, right?) the residue in the syringe onto my page.   Waste not, want not!

I then deliberately dropped a little ink onto my mat and picked it up with the rim of the glasses & used them to stamp some circles.   I masked some of my circles and then added additional stamping.

I matted my photo, added some strips of paper a title and some embellishments and I was done.

Products I've used include

Prima 12 x 12 water color pad
Dylusions Ink Spray (Bubblegum pink, Squeezed Orange, Pure Sunshine & Lemon Zest)
Aqua water brush (similar to this)
Syringe
Carabelle Studio Stamp (Mixed Media Strips)
Wendy Vecchi Archival ink (Sunflower & Tiger Lilly)
Heidi Swapp Acetate Words
washi tape

Have a great crafty day

cheers
Tracey
