Beautiful with Melinda

Hey again scrappy friends! I know it was only yesterday I shared but I am here with you again today to share my take on the August moodboard challenge!

If you have yet to see it here is a quick refresher!

And you do still have some time up your sleeves if you've been meaning to and simply haven't gotten to it yet!! Load up your entry here in the FB group!

Here is my take on the challenge and it is quiet simple for me but I really love the finished page! I have used the very spring like "Spring Fling" collection by Pebbles and can't wait to pull this out again and get creating again!

This is another page where I am scrapping a Honeymoon photo. We headed to Malaysia for our Honeymoon 10 years ago and spent some time in Langkawi and also KL. As tourists, of course, we had to visit the tourist places and one of our stops was the KL Butterfly Park and I did this page as a kind of "title" page for this part of our album.

I started with this paper for my background and love the neutral base colour it gives as a background!

I have used the gorgeous puffy stickers and some of the ephemera pieces from the Spring Fling collection by Pebbles for my simple clusters along with a label from my stash which I cut in half.

This gorgeous title piece is gold glitter by Heidi Swapp and the glitter doesn't come off - winning!!
The other alpha is from my stash.

Like I said, a pretty simple layout but I love it!

I hope I have given you some last minute inspiration to join in on the challenges for August and I'll see you again next month!

Happy scrapping!

Wander and Take It In with Melinda

Hello scrappy friends!! Melinda here with you today sharing my latest DT make for ScrappingClearly!

For today's post I was really inspired by this months sketch challenge, once again created by the very talented Peg! If you have yet to see it here it is

And here is my creation

I have used the very fun Citrus Bliss collection available ON SALE in store now and I will provide links at the end of my post!

I really stuck to the sketch as much as possible for this one - I really loved all those layers behind and next to the photo's.

It took me a while to find the "right" photos for this page but after a bit of digging I found these 2 from our Honeymoon back in 2008 - a good size and the "right" orientation for the sketch!

I was busting to get these Thickers out and used so after some struggle getting the wording correct for the story I wanted to tell I got the Wander and the Take It In phrase on the page!

Paired, of course with some gorgeous Colour Blast Sienna in both the Colour Paste and Colour Shimmer Spray.

If you would like to see my whole process just click on the play button below and you can watch my process video on the ScrappingClearly YT channel - and make sure you hit the subscribe button so you never miss a DT share on the channel!

I hope I have given you some last minute inspiration to play along with the sketch this month, make sure if you do you add it to the correct album over on the ScrappingClearly FB group to be in the draw to win a voucher to the ScrappingClearly store!!

That's it for me for today, thanks so much for stopping by!

Until next time, happy scrapping!

Well, my Scrappy, crafty, arty peeps, the time has come for me to sign off as a Design Team member here at Scrappingclearly. It's been a fantastic journey, a whole 18 months has flown by. I've been inspired by Kylie and all the other DT members who have come and gone, and had so much fun and joy, watching all our lovely Community share their work in the challenges here!

I hope I have inspired you all a little too!!

Today, I don't have a new post for you, instead, I'm going to share a few of my favourite projects, from my time here on the DT. There are so many!!!

You will still see me around, and I will not be a stranger on the Community page.

Thanks for having me!!!

Happy Birthday To Me :-)

Good Morning Arty Peeps!
Welcome again to the Scrapping Clearly Blog.
Today is my birthday and I have just spent the weekend
hanging out with my two favourite girls
who live a day's drive away.
If I ever win lotto I'm moving closer!
I did this layout to celebrate our friendship.

Here are the details.
I had these two backgrounds already made.
My art room works like a production line when I have new products, this time it was a Gel Press
and my Distress Oxide ink pads on heavy weight card. I made about a dozen of these
so thought I might use up two on the one page by cutting one into circles.

After inking the edges of the circles I stuck them down around my page,
trimmed the edges by 1/4" on each side and matted the whole thing
on black card (being sure to cut out the middle first to mat my photo).

I wanted to use the dreamcatcher sticker from this sheet but it was a little clean,
so I added some matching Distress Oxide colours to it too. I love these acetate words from Heidi Swapp,
I inked the edges with an alcohol marker to make them stand out a bit more,
and used 2 on my page, attaching them with staples coloured with Stazon ink.
Dymo filled in the gaps, of course.

The only other things I added were the super cute banner,
It's all held together with double-sided tape and staples.

So quick and easy with ready-made backgrounds!

There are just a few more days to get your entries in for our challenges this month, store credit for the winners.
Load your work into these FB folders in our group.

Thanks so much for coming by,
happy creating,

Travellers Notebook Fun - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!!

It's Karyn here and today I have some Travellers notebook fun made using the gorgeous Websters Pages Color Crush Travellers Notebook Inserts  and Fancy Pants Designs "Joy Parade" collection available in the  Scrapping Clearly Store.

I've always loved SMASH books and mini albums and I really love the smaller size of TN compared to a traditional 12x12 scrapbook page. So I decided to make a TN filled with positive and fun quotes (and probably no photos). So I started this one with lots of goodies from the Fancy Pants Joy Parade collection.
This is a great way to use up your stash and make a fun and uplifting notebook at the same time!
I intend to highlight one quote per opening.
I've added some stamps but find that clear acrylic stamps work best with Archival ink pads (pigment inks) rather than Distress inkpads (dye inks).
The Joy Parade collection makes me smile!
Scrapping Clearly products I've used include

Websters Pages Color Crush Travellers Notebook Inserts
Fancy Pants Designs "Joy Parade" collection (12x12 papers, 6x6 paper pad, brag cards, epherema, puffy stickers)
Ranger Archival ink pad, black
Fancy Pants Designs Golden Days stamps
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads

Thanks so much for stopping by

12x12 layout- New scooter time.

Hey ScrappingClearly fans,

Amy here back with a new layout share for you, documenting my sons new fancy scooter. I have used lots of Shimelle starshine goodies in this layout, all of which can be found in the ScrappingClearly store and I will provide the product links at the bottom of this post. There is also a process video over on the Scrappingclearly channel, so pop over and check it out (link at the bottom).

I started my layout with the idea of the different strips of paper at the bottom to form a border type thing and to add some interest to the layout. These strips are all from starshine patterned papers.

I then used some more of the starshine patterned paper to matte my photo and also add a layer of fun and bright colours under to make the photo really pop out (the balloon print).

I have then used pieces from starshine cut apart sheets to use as die cuts around the page, then used other pieces (stickers, flairs, clips) to embellish the layout.

And finally a mix of gold American Crafts thickers and WRMK thickers to create my title and this layout is done.
I will link all the products I have used below.
Until next time happy scrapping.

Finding Happy Joy in Scrapbooking

Howdy Bloggers, Lisa here with a Friday Mixed Media update .
I've been scrapping , just a couple of layouts here and there, but I scrapped !
Happy ,Happy ,Joy, Joy !!!!!!!!
Today I am sharing with you a quick fun layout that I created at a recent retreat
and that will hopefully inspire you to revisit your own scrap supplies this weekend.
I absolutely love this photo of my table buddies, taken at Flutterbys -Create by the Lake retreat,
and couldn't really wait to get it onto a layout . Thanks Peg for printing photos for me .x
I started simple with a colourful bright background of gorgeous
acrylic paint on Marshmellow cardstock, and once the paint was
applied ,using a baby wipe ,I smeared it through a rad Joggles stencil and
moved the colour across the page(such a fun technique).
After ample drying time ,I then added some texture into the background,
with 2 types of tissue papers- the purple/pink is Jane Davenport,
Plasterers Tape and a Heidi Swapp Glitter Frame
A  little staz on background stamping with this awesome Art Stamp
and stencil detailing with a Fude Ball pen
And the basic elements are set and ready,
all I need to add is my photo on black matt cardstock,
the essential journaling to tell the story,
Title and embellishments courtesy of Kinder Kreations Felt Flairs,
Chipboard butterflies and small words. One Flutterbys flair and this baby is done .

Thanks for dropping by the SC blog
I'll be back next week with a Friday MM update .
