Cheeky Chops

Good Morning Friday blog hoppers, Lisa here with a mixed media update .
I have had massive working roster of late, its unfortunately for me ,
left very little time for creative pursuits.
So today I'm sharing a cheeky scrap page created at the last retreat.
Using a simple technique of lightly spritzing water over your marshmellow cardstock,
laying a stencil and then spraying Dylusions Ink .
Allow drying time ,, then a drip of house paint(do you own any yet ?)
more drying time and an addition of stamping with a script stamp.
Background is complete. and the rest is just layering of texture.
Starting with a doily ,muslin then pink spotted tissue paper.
Black cardstock to matt the photo and the layering is done.
Embellishments of Blossoms,Flutterby Design strip words and
new lightly painted Kinder Kreation chipboard leaves completed this piece.
Oh and then there is the title.I love playing with photos and
titles and layering your titles onto your photographs always produces fun results .
for this title I have used a Heidi Swapp Acetate Word
Thanks for dropping by , see you next week.

Bouncaline Fun with Melinda

Hi there ScrappingClearly fans! Melinda here with you today sharing my take on the awesomely fun September sketch! You still have a little while to upload your take so make sure you check it out and enter!!

Here again is the sketch

You will see that I have flipped mine and made the clusters a little smaller but I had to make the little bit of mixed media I did in the background be visible!

There is a process video for this page as well, it may just take a little to upload, internet, sigh!! But you can see that here when it does load!

I have used the very awesome September Skies range by Heidi Swapp and have used one of my fave colour combos within this range - the navy and the lime green!

I have also used some pieces from some of the Color Magic products that I had already coloured and in a little basket thing I have sitting on my desk. They worked perfectly on this page! I'm pretty sure I had used the Navy and the Citron Colour Shine to colour these up!

I had so much fun with this page, I just love working with a sketch and Chloe continues to make awesome ones!!

So, you have a little over 24 hours to get yours into the draw for some awesome prizes so make sure you head back to the blog to link up your take on this sketch!

Happy scrapping!

Cyber Cropping with Scrapping Clearly

Hiya Arty peeps,
Last weekend Scrapping Clearly held a cyber crop with oodles of challenges and spot prizes. The projects are still rolling in since the due date isn't until midnight Friday, that gives you some time if you want to join us. All the details are on our FB page here. So with that in mind I thought I'd share a couple of the pages I have created from the challenges.

Challenge 1 - Colour challenge (load here)
Use teal, silver/grey, black and white only
On marshmallow cardstock I mixed Lindy's Stamp Gang powder with some whipped spackle and put it through this stencil. I love whipped spackle because it's lighter and dries much faster than regular texture paste with a similar result. I picked a bold black & white print paper from a 6 x 6 pad to mat my photo and added some strips of Hambly to frame it. American Crafts 'Thickers' words, Dymo, some staples and old deco tape, plus some doodads and journalling to finish it off.

Challenge 2 - a recipe. (load here)
You have to use watercolour, handstitching, flowers, a favourite quote, and 2 photos.
I used these watercolours for my background, again on marshmallow cardstock. I hand stitched some crosses across my striped paper, and cut flowers using my Silhouette. A quote using Dymo and 2 pics with some added bling and American Crafts 'Thickers' words.

I still have half a dozen or so challenges to choose from, yay!
Also there are our usual sketch and mood board challenges for September if you haven't already played with those.

Come check out our Facebook page and see what everyone is up to, there are loads of new projects to give you inspiration.

Thanks for coming by
'til next time

Shine by Lauren Hender

Hi Everyone!

What a fabulous time to be scrapping. I hope everyone was able to take part in the Scrapping Clearly Cyber Crop on the weekend. I can't believe how inspiring and amazing everyone's projects are and I wish everyone the best of luck when trying to win a challenge prize.

Today I'm sharing a layout of my little girl and her best fury friend Elsa. She loves this little puppy so much.

In this layout I have used all sorts of products. It was lovely to pull all different brand elements together to create and complementary layout. It's almost monochromatic.

To complete this layout I have used a number of techniques. These include layering, fussy cutting and accent splattering (ha ha)

Ranges I have used and links direct to the shop.

Heidi Swapp: Glitter Words,
Kaiser Craft: BoHo Pack
Pink Paislee: Cedar Lane Arrows, Base paper,
Cocoa Vanilla: Sequins

I hope my inspires you to create with these wonderful products.

" Kind Heart" layout by Bernii Miller using Fancy Free!

Heelloooooo..
Bernii Miller here with you today to share a layout with you all...

Well today I have a layout share showing you how I used the super pretty Paige Evans - Fancy Free collection.. But more specifically just the one sheet of 12 x 12 paper that has this gorgeous flower pattern which you can find HERE. I just fussy cut out some of the flowers and based the rest of the colours on the layout from those flowers.

To start this layout off I was first inspired by this quote that I found on Pinterest!! I enlarged the quote to fill an A4 sheet as I wanted it to go across the middle of the page.

I then pulled out my watercolours to first fill in the background letters and then matched them too some embroidery floss. I LOVE my watercolours especially the Loew Cornell ones as the colours become more and more opaque as you apply them...

This layout did take a little time to complete, but I filled in the time while watching The Bachelor .. ohhh I have loved watching that show and I am eagerly awaiting The Bachelorette to start.. Ill have to make an excuse to make more layouts with stitching on them so I do not feel so guilty while watching reality tv..lol..

Well thank you so much for stopping by today in my little part of the world..

PLEASE make sure that you stop by the Scrapping Clearly store ESPECIALLY if you love the Fancy Free collection , or perhaps you would like to try your hand at watercolours..

Till next time

Much love

Project Life - With Karyn!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!!

It's Karyn here and today I'm showing you Week 13 for my "Schultz Family 2016" Project Life Album. I've mainly used the Heidi Swapp "Sparkle" project life kit which is available at Scrapping Clearly. I love using kits - they provide a variety of coordinated cards and embellishments which can quickly be incorporated into a variety of layouts.

This project is also my inspiration for the "Bling and Sparkle" Project Life challenge at this weekends Scrapping Clearly Cyber Crop.  Head over to the facebook group here to find out all the details!!

Here is my completed 2 page layout.
I started by selecting a range of cards and diecuts from the Heidi Swapp "Sparkle" project life kit.
Then I took a few other cards from the kit and I used some punches (flower, arrow and heart shapes) to create my own customised coordinating embellishments
Here is a close up of the LHS. I didn't have many photos for this week so it gave me the opportunity to have fun using lots of cards and embellishments from the Heidi Swapp "Sparkle" project life kit. The photos are of our 2 Burmese kittens "CoCo and Hugo" who had just joined our family.
On this card I've added some of the die cut chipboard pieces from the kit and some punched flower shapes.
I decided to "fuse" the sequins into part of the pocket, as is shown here. The Fuse tool is perfect for customising your pocket pages. I use it to alter pages to styles I use more regularly, or to add sequins or other embellishments permanently into the page. It is important to let the tool warm up for at least 10-15 mins before use and I move the tool very slowly across the sheet (usually 2 times). Then check to see if it has properly stuck and if not re-do it.
Here is a close up of the RHS.
A paper clip, date stamp, strips of paper and a punched flower quickly take a white card from plain to glam!
Another strip of paper, punched flowers and wood veneer give this card dimension and sparkle! We all love sparkle!!
Scrapping Clearly products I've used include

Becky Higgins - white project life cards
Studio Calico wood veneer hearts and arrows
Heidi Swapp "Sparkle" project life kit
Becky Higgins project life pocket pages design A
WRMK Fuse tool
Pink Paislee Cedar Lane gold feather paper clips
Heidi Swapp memory planner date stamp

All of my photos have been printed on an Epson XP-600

Thanks so much for stopping by
