January 2025 Monthly challenges

Welcome to our January 2025 Challenges!

We are so excited to bring new challenges and new inspiration each month.

And even better, one lucky monthly winner will receive an exclusive Scrapping Clearly Prize Box, that will be filled with premium crafting supplies that will fuel their creative journey.

JANUARY CHALLENGES

1. Our January Moodboard:

This visual mood board  - be inspired by these colours, textures and themes.

For January, think: calm, soft, pastel, sea foam green, sandy, beige, natural and peaceful.

2. January Sketch:

A Sketch - please use the Sketch as your base design, but interpret it freely into your projects - any paper craft project can apply!

3. Weekly ATC Prompts

Every Monday at 9am, we will release a unique ATC prompt. This is a NO-SWAP ATC project. This allows you to create your own mini artworks to keep as your own project. By the end of 2025, you will have your own collection of 52 ATCs that incorporated the weekly theme or technique.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Participants must upload their completed projects into the JANUARY Prize Draw Album  in the Scrapping Clearly Share and Inspire Facebook Group.

Please load your entries to this album by the end of the month to be in the running for the Prize box. Please note: Please edit your photo caption in Facebook to give us information about your project and inspiration.

At the end of each month, one overall winner will be chosen across all three challenges, based on creativity, adherence to the challenge brief and effort and originality.

We cannot wait to inspire and create with you this year!

“Flossy Lady”

Lisa’s design celebrates bold, feminine energy with a vibrant and layered scrapbook layout. Using the LUCKYfindings “Flossy Lady “ imagery sheet.

Lisa has incorporated the striking, whimsical illustration to create a focal point that embodies individuality and self-expression. The addition of ephemera from Young and Free by Aida Domisiewicz complements the design with dynamic paper elements that emphasize freedom and creativity.

The composition showcases a balanced mix of textures, intricate layering, and colour harmony, making it an inspiring piece for scrapbookers seeking to tell stories with style and flair.

 Happy New Year everyone

One of my resolutions this year (alongside getting out into the garden every day - even if it's only for 5 minutes) was to be up to date with posting projects.   How's that going you ask? Only 2 days behind!   Hopefully things will improve.

This year is going to great for all the challenges available.   You're really spoilt for choice so no excuses so get your craft on and load into the album on Facebook.

This month I've started with the sketch.

I started with a Waste Not page (just left over product from another LO)

Added some Distress ink (Speckled Egg, Faded Jeans, Uncharted Mariner & Spiced marmalade) using a brayer.   Then a Jane davenport stamp with Memento ink (Tuxedo Black).   I then coloured the butterflied with some Color Burst (Burnt Orange - spritzed and painted on with a small brush.   Added some Colour Blast spray Sunset and some background using 49 & Market Butterflies are free stamp.

Added some 49 & Market filmstrips (Sunburst) along with some Alena rub-ons and chipboard, some Ticket Essentials, Heidi Swapp fabric bow, Transfer Me Bees and Flies, Wildflower & Honey thickers and Uniquely Creative alphas (coloured some with a black posca)

“Naughty or Nice?” - By Amy Churchward

Christmas is just around the corner, and with it comes the joy of creating festive layouts that capture the spirit of the season! This year, I decided to play around with a theme that’s both playful and nostalgic: “Naughty or Nice?”. After all, isn’t that the age-old question we all ponder during the holidays?

As we dive into this month's Christmas topic, the Holiday Magic Colour palette really sets the mood. Think rich reds, deep greens, and shimmering golds – the perfect blend to bring out the warmth and wonder of the season.

For this layout, I had so much fun mixing and matching some gorgeous papers and embellishments. 

The Luckyfindings Image: Holly was the ideal touch to frame the central photo, giving it that classic Christmas vibe. 

I used various papers from the Vicki Boutin Warm Wishes Collection, including “Holiday Wishes”, “Hello December”, “Holly Jolly”, “Snow Day”, and “Evergreen”. These papers are just so versatile and beautifully designed, making it easy to layer them for a rich, textured look.

One of my favourite tricks is using the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to staple papers together. Not only does it serve its practical purpose, but it also adds a cute, rustic embellishment to the layout. 

To give the page a bit of sparkle, I splattered some Simon Hurley Lunar Paste in Slippery When Wet – it’s just the right amount of shimmer to catch the eye without being too overwhelming.

Of course, no layout is complete without a few finishing touches from my stash! I added some star embellishments and flair from Charms Creations that brought the whole piece together.
