October Mood board

Hello there, nice to be here this morning sharing my layout inspired by the October Mood board. I have really enjoyed working with the pink and orange colours.
I loved the circle element and the pattern reminded me of my new Prima Marketing Stencil I wanted to try, bonus! I used a lot of different products from different companies I had in my possession which worked out well. Doesn't it feel great when it all works together?

Here is the gorgeous vibrant October Mood board using the lovely combination of pink, red and orange. We would love to see your interpretation from this month's challenge and a $20 voucher is well worth creating for the change to win! Happy creating and good luck!!

Beachy smile - by Chloe

Hello everyone!  I was so excited to receive the super cool Simple Stories Summer Vibes range in my DT kit.  We have recently been to the beach so this range was just PERFECT for our holiday photos!  I must admit, I didn't take as many photos as I thought I would .. too busy soaking up the sun, sand and surf!  However, there are still plenty of memories I want to record just the same :)

I misted over a stencil to get the sunburst/water droplets look on the background.

The layout felt like it need some large arrow shapes, so I cut some Chipboard Frames in half ... instant arrows!  Love the effect!

I just love the summery/beachy colours and the wood grain paper is my fav ...

PROJECT MY LIFE

Hey hey hey!

How is your week going? Been scrapping? Creating anything? I have been kinda slack this week, and right now I am writing this post from bed... with a shocking wind/sunburn! We went and watched the kids sports carnival and oh my word - I am glowing such a bright shade of red right now, they could probably use me to guide ships at sea! Ouch!

I have an awesome share today - I have played with the WeRMemoryKeepers Fuse tool and I am so impressed with this little invention! I have completed a 'different' layout, being that I have not used typical photos.

In going through this weird place in my life, there are some interesting little things that have happened. Like the universe is speaking to me lol, and a friend tagged me in one of these quotes on a Facebook post. It was so fitting for me, and I went looking and copied a heap of the quotes. I thought that I could use them in my scrapping pages, but then decided to showcase them just as they are.

I grabbed a 12x12 Project Life sleeve and set to cutting my quotes down (I just had these printed at my local print station) and teamed them so they were back to back. I cut them down to 2x2 squares and then measured out sleeve spaces. Pop in some spunky sequins and I ended up with a page of wonderful quotes and some super cute little window pockets! These pockets are so much fun and using the Fuse tool you can create pockets in any size/shape you can think of!

Here is a link to the supplies I used, which you can find in the Scrapping Clearly store - http://www.scrappingclearly.com.au/shop/group/photo-sleeve-fuse/ Keep an eye on the blog and shop too, there is some exciting new stock coming, that I just can not wait to get my hands on! If you are feeling inspired by anything you see here on the blog created by the design team, we would love to have you share on our Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/groups/175973739217297/ you can also find some great challenges and competitions!

So Fancy - what is old..... can it be new?

Good Morning Rikki here today and as promised in the last post its all about what is old is new..... well revisiting my old scrap booking pages and revamping them with my style and of course all the fabulous products that once weren't that readily available.

Today I am using the Simple Stories So Fancy range and like the title implies it is!!! In store now!!!

So to start with the old: (insert shameful gasp..... its not that bad but now we now know better and have better things).

So now you have seen the past onto the future over the next couple of weeks I am going to show you  a progression starting of with a simple layer booklet into something a bit more intense each week. So hopefully you will feel confident in what your doing to try it yourself.

And dont stress these post will be jam packed full of detailed photos.

So start off with one simple photo and tow peices of pattern papers and cut them to size and go sew them together. (* tip: score your first one so it is able to lift up without tearing).

Stick some of your stickers back to back to make a lift tab.

Remember to position some of your fussy cut flowers so you can see them when the tag is closed also include a couple on the top to tie it all together.

Got to love a little touch of gold foil on the Simple Stories - So Fancy Chipboard.

These Simple Stories phrase stickers are great dont forget to add some on the backs as you will see it in the inside of the book.

Till next week have a creative day.

WANDERlust

Hello everyone, Michelle back this week to share a layout using the wonderful WANDERlust by Teresa Collins. Do you ever have those moments when you get new products and you just can't wait to use them and you know exactly how you want to create with them?
It doesn't happen that often for me but I had the perfect photo my 16 year old son took in our City and I knew it would be brilliant with those large Wood pieces. I spray painted them with my favourite gold spray paint and love how they look. I used a panel of pattern paper called Paper Tiles and the large gold foil Wanderlust word on the right side was on the bottom of the packaging from the chipboard.

Here is a close up of the wood piece Cityscape I spray painted gold, the chipboard with some gold thread and one of the Brads with added Gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine mist.

More gold thread behind a brad and some chipboard buttons, word and sequins.

PROJECT MY LIFE!

Hey hey hey!

Ree here again with another Project My Life share! This share is a little different to my usual, in that its from a different album. It has been a kinda weird time in my life of late, and inspiration sometimes feels a long way away. My relationship (almost my whole adult life, 2 kids etc) has recently come to an end, and my Project My Life visions and ideals have somewhat changed. SO, in sharing what is truly Project My Life, here is a layout from my personal album. It's easy to get caught up in the idea that creating our albums should showcase the incredible lives we all live, but honestly, sometimes it isn't incredible. Sometimes its hard, and ugly and I need to record these elements of my life, even if its just for me. I have the album being created for my family, and the one that is just mine, and in having that album I have the opportunity to be a little more real. There is some hidden journaling going in this layout, but other than that, its all out there in the open. I guess I am using this to deal with my stuff, and one day, if my babies are ever in a position that they might be going through their own issues, maybe this will be a help to them then.

This layout did not come together easily, sometimes the emotional crap gets in the way and the mojo cant do it thing, but it came together and ultimately I am pretty happy with it.
I wanted to really make it smooth and let it flow, so I went with minimal embellishments and showcased the Thickers! The Thickers are available in the Scrapping Clearly store here http://www.scrappingclearly.com.au/?s=thickers&post_type=product&tags=1&limit=20&ixwps=1 and I used some gorgeous Heidi Swapp items http://www.scrappingclearly.com.au/shop/heidi-swapp/project-life-clear-value-kit-2/ and http://www.scrappingclearly.com.au/shop/heidi-swapp/project-life-gold-foil-value-kit-2/. The Heidi Swapp Value Kits are amazing value and have so so many pieces, its always my go-to when I need just that little something. The little stamped hearts on the last image are using the Heidi Swapp planner stamps which are new in the store and I LOVE THEM! http://www.scrappingclearly.com.au/shop/heidi-swapp/preorder-heidi-swapp-memory-planner-wood-calendar-numbers-stamps/

So, if your still reading, tell me about some of the hard stuff you want to scrap, or wish you had scrapped. Leave a comment, I promise to read and reply :)
