Australia Day Crop

I have been busy creating for our Australia Day crop.
I hope you are all inspired to join in with our lovely Design Team creations popping up over the weekend.

I thought I would put my 5 here for you with a bit of a list of what I used.

I used pigment powder for the soft water wash look on the background.
Lindy's Magicals
Cotton candy pink

I used Dylusions Pomegranate for the title with foam letter stamps.

I have used 49 and market paper and their No1 laser cut shapes
Some metal bits and pieces.

The first step is to plan your design and add texture to your background.

Then cover the lot in white or black gesso.
I left the big bolt as nature intended it as it was my feature piece to accompany the photo of the old bridge it came from. I based my colour selection for the paint around this bolt.

I then start building up my colour. I started with all these earth tones as the main base.
I used contrast colours for the highlights.

This is my favourite creation I made for the crop. I collected most of the feature pieces from my trip to Gundy. It will be a favourite keepsake for me.

I finished it off with a frame from Kmart, where I sprayed Lindy's colour to the matt.

Distress oxides, spiced marmalade, squeezed lemon, peacock feathers, faded jeans, mermaid lagoon.
Tim Holtz stencil 2 and 3
Light and fluffy texture paste

Thanks for looking
Tracey
