Love by Belinda Spencer

 Hello Scrapping Clearly fans!

It's Belinda here today to share my latest layout for Scrapping Clearly inspired by the July Mood Board.

Aren't these colours just so pretty?!

For my layout I began by cropping a piece of Bazzill Marshmallow Heavy Weight Cardstock to my preferred size and mounted on a cropped sheet of Heidi Swapp Favourite Things patterned paper from the 12 x 12 Paper Pad. I then spritzed the page with the new Tim Holtz Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Spray. I LOVE this colour so much! I dried the page with a heat gun and then used the same Distress Oxide Spray to spritz a Vicki Boutin stencil. I placed the stencil on a random page in my black paper art journal to spritz it so none of the colour would be wasted. I then stamped the layout with the stencil to get some random stencil marks. I repeated this until I was happy with the coverage and then flicked some of the colour over the page too.

Once I had dried the page, I added some stamping using Vicki Boutin stamps and the Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink Pad.

I chopped up a bunch of Heidi Swapp papers mostly from the 6x8 Paper Pad and layered them together. I tore a strip from a Heidi Swapp 6x6 Die Cut paper and stuck that down on the page before adding the paper stack. I layered a Heidi Swapp banner sticker over the top before adding my photo and the remaining embellishments. I finished with a little bit more stamping using the Heidi Swapp Always Mini Stamp Set.

Products used:

- Favourite Things Stickers

- patterned paper
- stencil
- Kaleidoscope stamp and die set

- Distress Oxide Spray Salvaged Patina
- Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina

COCOA VANILLA STUDIO Free Spirit Little Hearts

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I hope you are feeling inspired to have a play with the mood board this month too.

Cheers
Belinda

Sister - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page that I created using lots of fun products available at Scrapping Clearly!

I'm playing along with the July moodboard challenge. We would love for you to join in with this challenge and be in the running to win a Scrapping Clearly store voucher. You have until July 31 and you need to upload your challenge here.

I started by creating a watercolour background using Prima Watercolor Confections - Classics and Decadent Pies (silver, black and grey). I then added splatters of Tinsel ColorShine.

Next I added some texture using a variety of stencils and using Platinum modelling paste, Black modelling paste, and Bo Bunny Silver glitter paste

I've added doodling around the edge of the page using a Fude ball pen

I also addd stamping to my page using the Carabelle Studio Mini Textures stamp set and Scribbles in my Journal stamp set - but I forgot to photograph lol.

Here is my finished page.

I've matted my photo on some Heidi Swapp Pineapple Crush papers (there are lots of black and white patterns in this collection).

I've added paperclips, flair, paper flowers and die cuts from my stash.

This wooden word is from a pack of Heidi Swapp wooden words

Cotton thread and more flair are always cool additions to a page.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

July Moodboard Art Journalling - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have an art journal page that I created using lots of fun products available at Scrapping Clearly!

I'm playing along with the July moodboard challenge. We would love for you to join in with this challenge and be in the running to win a Scrapping Clearly store voucher. You have until July 31 and you need to upload your challenge here.

This page is created in my Black Square Dylusions Journal. I have had this journal for a few years but hesitant to use it because the black is quite overwhelming. I'm so glad i took the plunge as I love it now :)

I also gathered a heap of supplies that fit in with the moodboard.

I started by creating a watercolour background using Prima Watercolor Confections - Classics (white and grey).

Next I added some texture using a variety of stencils and using Platinum modelling paste, Faber Castell Whipped Spackle, and Bo Bunny Silver glitter paste. Then I doodled around the edge of the page using a white Uniball Signo broad pigment ink pen.

Here is my finished page. I found this image on Pinterest and printed it out on photo paper.

I added gauze, diecuts and Tim Holtz chit chat word stickers.

I love this image - isn't she adorable!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

'Thankful'

Hi everyone! A new month and a new Moodboard. This Moodboard is a stunner - with beautiful soft tones.

...and this is my take on it...

I started the layout on a base of white cardstock printed on Gesso. Then, using the Ranger Gel Press Brayer from the store, I applied the gorgeous Dina Wakley paints in 'Blushing', 'Mineral', and 'Evergreen'.

I randomly smeared the Dina Wakley stencil 'Big Leafy' and modeling paste and ColourBlast Texture Paste in 'Steel' over this painted background.

Once I was happy with the coverage, I used a craft heatgun to ensure that the background was completely dried.

Once this stage was done, I adhered my photo down with layers behind it.

Take a look at these close ups.

I have also used two great products from two Australian sites - Charms Creations and D-Lish Scraps.

Here is a re-cap of the page with the fabulous products used from Scrapping Clearly store.

Thank you for stopping by,

Amy.

Art with all my heart - by Emma

Well hello there SC peeps,
Emma here today to share with you a very easy, quick layout.
It is roughly based on the colour scheme of this months moodboard. And I guess to some degree I was loosely inspired by the ‘stripes’ on the page also 😜
I’ll show you what I mean.......

As you can see the colours are there and then the stripes are the washi tape I used.
I started the whole thing by choosing a sheet from Heidi Swapps Pineapple Crush range in Breezy
So to get started with colour I used some Dylusions Rose quartz paint first as my base ingredient.
Then once dry I tore strips off 3 of the tapes you can find in the Dylusions washi tape pack. These totally rock!!

Then came a little bit of stamping around the area already created.
This page I chose to use only a couple of ripped pieces of paper from pink paislee memorandum pad up behind my photo.
And then to use as my ‘embellishments’ I used a sheet out of that same pack but cut out all the imaging and letters. These also became layers in my washi tape and as my title.

I also added some random pattern by using liquid paper pen to doodle (inspired by the ever awesome Lisa Oxley)
And a few of the Tim Holtz rub ons in amongst the washi and as part of my title.

I didn’t care if when I flicked the Distress Oxide around it went on my photo as it was to really showcase art.
I chose to use hickory smoke for this so that it didn’t over power the image.
And then I flicked the carbon black liquitex ink once I covered by photo.

I’m pretty happy with the outcome. What do you think?
It’s not perfect but hey that’s ART! 😜
I really look forward to seeing your interpretation of this months moodboard and I’ll be back later on this month to share another layout inspired by the moodboard.
Catch you then, Em xxx

July Mood Board - by Chloe

Hello SC fans!  Have you tried our challenges this month?

I'm sharing my sample page for the July Mood Board today :)

I was totally drawn to the firework pattern in the top left corner - I knew I had the perfect stencil to create some fireworks on a background!

Then, basing my page loosely on the colours in the mood board, I created a Christmas page (I LOVE using non-traditional Christmas colours!) ... I wasn't intending to do Christmas - but this was the photo that was waiting to be scrapped and it matched perfectly!

I have used bits and pieces from my Scrapping Clearly stash:
